Canadian Greenfield Technologies Corp (CGT) is pleased to announce a new offering - Biochar HempTrain™ - a turn-key facility for mass-processing baled hemp into feedstock for Biochar production.
Conversion of hemp into biochar, sequestering large amounts of accumulated carbon, and using the biochar for value applications, such as premium soil amendment, is of great interest to the industry world-wide. This is a winning business proposition for the industry as such a business would generate two significant revenue streams: by selling carbon credits and by selling biochar. Carbon credits derived from hemp-to-biochar conversion command the highest value in the carbon credits market.
However, this operation will require, firstly, mass processing of baled hemp into a “flowing” small particle size material, for further use as the feedstock for biochar production via a thermal process called pyrolysis. Turning, on the industrial scale, a super-tough baled hemp stalk into a spec-sized flowing uniform material requires a special hemp processing technology.
Canadian Greenfield has such a technology, called HempTrain™, for mass-processing of baled hemp – on the industrial scale - into value products. HempTrain™ Technology was successfully commercialized in 2019 with facilities operating as well as being currently built in Canada, US and Europe. HempTrain™ Technology is adaptable for the purpose of this offering.
The key elements of the HempTrain™ Technology, such as its unique Hemp Bale Opener and Hemp Refiner-Sizer, which do not have equivalent machinery world-wide, comprise the main machinery in this Offering. Combined with proprietary electronic control as well as dust control and attenuation storage systems, the offered facility presents a complete, standalone processor of baled hemp into hemp feedstock for production of biochar.
