Meet the Team
Mike Pildysh, M.Eng., P.Eng.
Mike Pildysh is the President of the Canadian Greenfield Technologies Corporation. He has been a member of the North American building materials industry for over 35 years, having founded and operated, since 1987, a group of companies, including the multi-million dollar Cementec Industries Inc. Prior to that, he was Head Civil Engineer for Monenco Engineering Ltd. which was the second largest engineering company in Canada (now, a part of AMEC FOSTER WHEELER, one of the world largest engineering conglomerates). Mr. Pildysh is a Registered Engineer in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario, and has authored 12 patents and over 30 publications. He is a former member of the United States Research Technology Board, the Winner of the Frank G. Erskine Award, and a member of the American Concrete Institute, American Shotcrete Association, American Chemical Society, and Chemical Institute of Canada.
Stephen Christensen, Ph.D., P.Chem.
Dr. Christensen is the Vice President and General Manager of the Canadian Greenfield Technologies Corporation. With over a decade of experience in experimental design, and technically proficient, Dr. Christensen is responsible for the management of all research and development direction, members, and activities. Dr. Christensen is a Professional Chemist in Alberta, has authored 11 publications, and is a former winner of the J.M. Pepper Prize in Chemistry. He is a member of the Canadian Society for Chemistry, the American Concrete Institute – Alberta Chapter, and the American Shotcrete Association.
Brittany McKell, BBA
Brittany is the Marketing Manager for Canadian Greenfield Technologies. Educated at Mount Royal University and SAIT Polytechnic, Brittany holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and a diploma in Marketing & Business Administration. Responsible for overseeing marketing and promotional activities, Brittany brings a background of diverse experiences to the Canadian Greenfield team. Her experiences marketing with some of Calgary’s leading companies has exposed her to the many facets of marketing including web design, social media marketing, promotions, brand development, market research, external communications and more. Brittany’s ambition, energy and dedication are an invaluable asset to the Canadian Greenfield team.
Natalie McKenzie, M.A.Sc., E.I.T.
Natalie McKenzie is the Materials & Chemical Engineer, responsible for materials testing and the development of all chemical treatment processes. She holds a M.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University, and has published three peer-reviewed papers. She is a registered Engineer-in-Training with APEGA. She is a member of APEGA, ACI-Alberta Chapter, and the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering (CSChE). She is technically capable, and has over 8 years of experience in experimental design.
Kurt Edwards, B.A.Sc., E.I.T.
Kurt Edwards is the Principal Development Engineer supervising Canadian Greenfield’s R&D staff. A professional mechanical engineer with background in engineering, applied physics and mathematics, and almost 30 years experience in designing and building innovative machinery and automation systems for processing and manufacture of products related to construction, energy and materials – Mr. Edwards has overseen the entire development of the HempTrain® Technology.
Matthew McKay, C.E.T
Matthew McKay is the Production Manager. Matthew is a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, specializing in the design and fabrication of production equipment. Matthew obtained his Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma from Okanagan College. With his experience in mechanical design; Matthew produces all schematics and documentation necessary to create the HempTrain® package.
